About Us
Alohomora Education Foundation exists to enable young people to feel confident and hopefuly about their future and eliminate Youth Unemployment in India. In our experience, structured career guidance and support in Govt high schools is critical to make this happen at scale.
Our Journey
Solution Design
Action research to design the program. Implementation in 4 communities in Delhi and Gurgaon. Our work got selected as top 6 ideas by the World Bank Youth Summit on Re-imaging Education.
Focused implementation
We delivered our program across Govt schools of Delhi and Gurgaon. Our youth fellowship model developed local community youth as facilitators and leaders of the program. This ended with a Randomised Control Trial (RCT) assessing the impact.
Large Scale Govt collaboration
We joined hands with the Delhi Govt’s flagship initiatives – ‘Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum’ and ‘Desh Ke Mentors’ as design and implementation partners
Integration with government schooling system
With a matured program design and experience of working with Govt schools at scale, we started working to embed our program with Govt schooling system, facilitated by regular Govt school teachers.
